Frequently Asked Questions
First time at pole? First time to our studio? Our FAQ has got you covered with all the info you need to start your pole dance journey with House of Pole Ireland.
We have two studios! One in Blacklion, Greystones and the other in the City Centre, Dublin 1.
Here are our addresses:
Dublin Studio: Mash House, Distillery Court, 537 N Circular Rd, Dublin 1, D01 A9N7
This studio is served by Connolly Street Dart Station, LUAS Green Line and any bus that goes close to Mountjoy Square or Croke Park.
Blacklion Studio: Upstairs Unit 4 Blacklion Retail Centre, Rathdown Road, Rathdown Lower, Greystones, Co. Wicklow
This studio is served by the 184 and 84 bus.
We dance on a mixture of stainless steel and chrome poles, 45mm and 40mm. All of our poles have static and spinning functions.
This is to ensure that those with nickel allergies are able to pole safely.
Of course not! The level of sexiness is up to you. Our instructors will never ask you to do something you're not comfortable with. Of course pole has its roots in strip clubs and stripper culture; it's about getting outside of your comfort zone, but you decide where to draw the line when it comes to sexy things. We want you to feel free, and above all, safe and comfortable to grow.
You can become a member with House of Pole by making an account on TeamUp and purchasing a class pack or a monthly membership here Alternatively, you can do a single class by purchasing a single, drop-in class pass on TeamUp. Members are considered people with an ACTIVE class pack or monthly membership only.
You can also DM us on Instagram to get started with us today!
A class pack is a number of class credits which can be used to give you access to classes on the House of Pole timetable. They give our members flexibility in booking and scheduling their classes throughout the week.
You can buy 4,8 or 12 class credits at any time. You can then use these credits to book classes within a 4 week time window. This window begins from the date of your first booked class.
Class packs are the same as memberships. If you have an active class pack on TeamUp, you are a current member of House of Pole.
The pack system allows you to mix'n'match your classes. For example, if you usually attend "Intermediate Pole Class" but you have a work commitment that week, you can book into "Spin Pole" instead.

If your schedule is always changing, you can wait until the day of a class to book into it - but beware, sometimes if you wait too late, the class may become full.
Class packs allow you to choose your own schedule and book classes on days that you can definitely make it. You have 4 weeks from the date of your first class to book the remaining three.
They also allow you to try out different classes without signing up for a full term. You can use your credits for any class (excluding workshops).

If you cancel a class more than 24 hours before it starts, you will recover the credit and can rebook that class inside your 4 week membership period. Cancellations less than 24 hours before the class begins are considered "Late Cancellations" and the credit will be forfeited.
Monthly memberships are a rolling membership which gives you access to a number of class credits to allocate as you wish before the month is out. This membership could be used to book the same classes each week, or a mix and match, similar to class packs.

Monthly memberships are a recurring payment that is debited on the 1st of each month. There is a minimum obligation of 3 months commitment, after which you can cancel the membership with 28 days' notice over email.

You can purchase this membership at any time (it will be prorated if you join mid-month) but future payments will always be taken on the first of the month until you cancel your membership. So if you start your membership on the 17th of April, you will be charged a prorated fee to attend class from that date onwards, and then the full membership fee again on the 1st of May with your full number of pack credits.

Among the benefits of being a monthly member is the access to up to 3 complimentary class sessions depending on your tier. Complimentary sessions are flexibility and open training only. Chrome members will receive 1 flexibility OR open training session. Brass will get 1 flexibility and 1 open training. Stainless Steel will get 3 complimentary passes for either flexibility or open training.

Monthly plan members will also be able to avail of a discount on drop-in classes. They can access drop-ins for just €17 in the case that they want to book into more classes than their membership currently allows. If they discover they want to take more classes than their tier allows for, they can contact us for an upgraded membership. e.g. from Chrome to Brass.

Monthly Chrome Membership: 4 class credits per month (+1 complimentary session): €65
Monthly Brass Membership: 8 class credits per month (+2 complimentary sessions): €120
Monthly Stainless Steel Membership: 12 class credits per month (+3 complimentary sessions): €180
Monthly memberships work very similarly to the the pack system. The monthly membership allows you to mix'n'match your classes. For example, if you usually attend "Intermediate Pole Class" but you have a work commitment that week, you can book into "Spin Pole" instead.

If your schedule is always changing, you can wait until the day of a class to book into it - but beware, sometimes if you wait too late, the class may become full.
You must use all of your credits before the month is over. On the 1st of each month, your credits will replenish again.
Credits also allow you to try out different classes without signing up for a full term.

All classes are subject to a 24 hour cancellation policy. Classes purchased as a "drop-in" single use class, and credits from class packs are included in this policy.
The 24-hour cancellation window means, if you are booked onto a class, you need to give 24 hours notice in order to rearrange the class and recover the credit. Any late cancellations (those within 24 hours of the class start time) will result in the credit being forfeited.
To rearrange your class, you must first unregister from the class you originally booked and then book an alternative class that suits you. This can be done by the customer if there is more than 24 hours between the deregistration and the start time of the class. You do not need to immediately book into another class. Rebooking can be done at a later time as long as you use all your credits before the end of the term for which they were purchased.
If you try to rebook your class less than 24 hours before the class start time, you will lose your credit. It will be forfeited. This policy is in place for all students and classes.
House of Pole reserves the right to amend the timetable at any time and to cancel any classes which don't meet minimum required numbers to run. In the event that you are booked onto a class that gets cancelled, your credit will be returned to you and you can book into an alternative class. We will do our utmost to minimise class cancellations and schedule disruptions.
If you need to cancel a class, please do so on your account, so that the space is freed up for other members to book.
When classes are full, you may join a waitlist. If someone cancels the class, you will be notified by email and given a chance to take the newly freed-up space.
Likewise, if you can't make a class, please cancel it so someone else can have your space.
The timer starts from the first class booked. That means, if you buy the class pack on the 10th and the first class you have booked is the 15th, the timer starts on the 15th! This means you can buy your packs when payday rolls around and not worry about running out of time too soon.
As long as the class in question is more than 24 hours away, you can cancel and rebook that class (inside your 4 week membership period) at your own convenience. Rebooking of classes is the client's responsibility.
Unfortunately, it is not possible to recover a class credit with less than 24 hours' notice.
We understand that life is busy and sometimes you may have to cancel a class. We remind all members that we have a 24-hour cancellation policy in place.

• If you cancel a class less than 24 hours before the class start time, you lose the credit.

• If you cancel a class more than 24 hours before the class start time, your credit will be returned to you and you can rebook a different class (within your 4 week period). Please note that rebooking is your responsibility.

If you must make a late cancellation and your class is full, please cancel the class on the system to allow people on the waitlist to take your place. Be sound!
The system will attempt to take the payment over the next few days following the 1st of the month. If you have insufficient funds on the 1st, you may add funds to your chosen payment method over the following day(s) and the system will try to take the payment.
While payment is pending, account activity will be halted. You will not be able to book or attend class using your membership credits.
If payment is unsuccessful after a few days, your monthly membership will be cancelled and you will not be able to subscribe to monthly payments again.
If payment is unsuccessful after a few days, your monthly membership will be cancelled and you will not be able to subscribe to monthly payments again.
If you wish to purchase a class pack or drop-in classes in future, you can, but you must contact us first to lift the restriction on your account.
To cancel your monthly subscription you must email us at houseofpoleireland@gmail.com giving 28 days' notice before your next payment date.
For example, you started your membership in March it is now July and you wish to cancel your payment for August. We must be notified before July 4th as that is 28 days before the next billing date on August 1st.
Please note that monthly memberships cannot be cancelled before the 3-month mandatory commitment period. Prorated months do not count towards the 3 month total.
This means if you sign up to a monthly membership on April 21st, the earliest payment you can cancel is the 1st August. In this scenario, you must send notice of this cancellation via email before July 4th.
Complimentary classes are a benefit of being a monthly membership holder. Monthly members can avail of a FREE flexibility or open training class during the month as part of their member benefits.
Chrome members will receive 1 flexibility OR open training session.
Brass will get 1 flexibility and 1 open training.
Stainless Steel will get 3 complimentary passes for either flexibility or open training.
You will receive an email at the start of each month with your discount codes for each tier. To use the code, add the selected open training or flexibility session to your cart on TeamUp and add the discount code at checkout. This will apply a 100% discount enabling you to book the class for free.
The main difference between these two membership types is the cost. Monthly memberships are cheaper than class packs but they require a minimum 3 month commitment. They also come with complimentary sessions which class packs do not.
